Code enforcement officials have closed a Commerce restaurant after police found the co-owner and a cook passed out in the dining room amid puddles of blood and shards of glass.

The incident may be the last blow for Harmony Grove Bar and Grille, which had traded its white tablecloths for a beer pong table over the past year, according to the restaurant's landlord.
Two off-duty 911 dispatchers were walking through downtown Commerce about 8 a.m. Monday as part of their exercise routine when they spotted a trail of blood droplets, Commerce police said.
The dispatchers followed the spatters to the front door of Harmony Grove, 1662 S. Broad St.
Peering through the front window, they saw a man lying on the dining room floor surrounded by pools of blood, according to a Commerce police report.
Police arrived, banged on the door and finally knocked it down to reach what they thought was a dying man, according to Officer Jeff Rogers, who responded to call.
"The amount of blood on the sidewalk and in the restaurant, we actually thought we were going to find two injured people," Rogers said.
But Rogers and another officer found only one injured man - Harold Walsh, restaurant manager and co-owner - on the floor. Another man, a sous chef who was uninjured, was lying in a booth.
Both men got up as officers entered the restaurant, according police. Both had been drinking the night before, Rogers said. Walsh was cursing them for breaking down his door, according to authoriti
